    Uhm, the US joined WW2 in 19414 and the war started in 1939 and lasted till 45. Seems like they were in the war for most of it. And I agree the German soldiers were brave and good fighters but every nation had thousands of heroic men who deserve to be remembered and honored above such petty differences as national origin.
