Damn, it was a pain in the ass finding out the name of this song after hearing it on the radio randomly throughout my entire life, but FINALLY [smiley face]
Yes along with "Thighs High"
yeaaaah..they brought the house on this one....no song out there right now can even dream of matching this, not even in the same league....it had to feel beautiful to be an artist back during the golden era
This a classic Jamaica, Queens anthem!
classic and toni smith is sexy and has a sexy voice;love this song
cuntsssssssssssssssss
That song is STILL tight. Reminds me of my childhood. My mother must have played this song 100 times in a row.
Betty Boop~ betty boop~ apoopupadoo :)
I love story like this. Reminds me of the good old times.
Hmmm i still love this song, it reminds me to my disco party`s. This song will never dies. Happy Holidays ;-) GMLAB
I always thought this was Chaka Kahn singing the hook.
I saved every lunch money to buy this record. I could hardle wait to get to the record store.
Thanks Roanej, she's a pretty cool singer.
Her name is Toni Smith she also, sang for Rose Royce on the Carwash Soundtrack.
The singer looks a lot like Taka Boom, and sounds like her too, is that her?
wasn't it busta rhymes who took that song as a sample ??(guess it was with mariah c..)
this goes right into my favorites. P3AC3.
One of the funkiest synth bassline ever recorded!! All time funk feel good jamm!!
What??!!! This sheah its a whole nother smell. Thats Jamacia funk thats what it "eiahs".
NO DOUBT....IN Fact Tom reminded me of Lee Morgan. In the sense that his abilities seemed natural. He was just a naturally gifted kat.he had similar tone as well. REPRESENT!!!
rockjohnson80,...that is not Bernard Wright(called 'Nard around the way) in the video..but he did lay tracks on the original recording ur listening to here...but the track that he actually laid down was the bass line itself(probably used a moog synth). Queens and in particular Jamaica Queens, had and still has some very interesting musical history. But yes..the piano player in the video is Terry..and the one on the synth is Clifford Branch. BUT Dave Grusin played the original PIANO track.
